Heading into the Future
Forgetful of my will's intent,
The full warmth of the world at summer's door
Pervades my spirit and my soul.
Spirit vision beckons me
To lose myself in light;
An inner prompting speaks to me,
"Now lose yourself to find yourself."

Rudolf Steiner, Calendar of the Soul verse for June 2-8

We are heading into our last week at school, filled with the hustle and bustle of finishing touches on projects and lessons before we part ways until September.  The warmth in the classrooms is a reminder of what we have to look forward to during the next few months.

One of the important traditions that helps to conclude our year together each June is the eighth grade graduation.  These students, many of whom have been attending our school since early childhood, will be taking the next big step to high school, where they can take all that they have learned here and apply it to new and exciting classes, situations, and relationships.  Their graduation ceremony will be a lovely finishing touch to their eight years together, allowing them to stand up in front of the community and say their goodbyes.  We would like to invite everyone to attend; click "read more" above for the invitation.  The ceremony is this Saturday, June 11, beginning at 2 p.m., and will be followed by a dessert reception.  Please RSVP by email or at extension 516.  We would be honored if you would join us.
Class of 2011 Destinations
After our Class of 2011 graduates on Saturday, they will head off to high school in the fall.  The high schools our graduating class will be attending include the following:

The Newman School
Minuteman Technical School
Milton Academy
Cambridge Rindge and Latin School
Lexington High School
Lincoln-Sudbury High School
Cambridge School of Weston
International School of Boston
Lawrence Academy
High Mowing Waldorf School

Our eighth grade class of 2007 is graduating from high school this month as well, and many are heading off to college in the fall.  Their planned destinations include:

Smith College
University of Chicago
Earlham College
Skidmore College
Lake Forest College
Eckerd College
Middlebury College
Dean College

We send our heartiest congratulations to both groups and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors!
Health Office Reminders
  • All children must be up-to-date with annual physicals before the start of school in September. Please remember to schedule your child(ren) for a physical over the summer if this is when their annual physical is due.
  • Please pick up any student medications (inhalers, epi pens, etc.) that are in the health office on the last day of school.  These cannot be kept over the summer and need to be updated in September for the new school year.
Board of Trustees Year-End Review
Dear Parents and Friends,

We hope you will take a minute to read the notes (click "read more" above) from our final board meeting of the year, reviewing key initiatives and developments since last September. It has been a wonderful and productive year for the Board and the school, and we thank you for your support and encouragement. As always, feel free to contact a board member with any feedback you may have. Have a great summer.

Mooly Dinnar,
President, Board of Trustees
