Dear Waldorf Community, we are in need of a home. Our family of four is very excited about relocating to this beautiful and vibrant area over the summer. Our two boys, William(8) and Sam(5) will be transferring from our wonderful Waldorf school in New Paltz, NY. We are homeowners and well understand the responsibilities of caring for a house and the land. We hope to find a 3-4 bedroom house to rent within 20 minutes of the school, the closer the better, starting in June or July. While we are looking to rent a home, we would love to discover a work exchange and/or caretaking situation if possible. If you know of or have a house/apartment that is available please contact us at 845-214-3201 or mcampbell468@gmail.com or pass along our information. For Sale/Giveaway
Wanted
German International School of Boston to bring an exceptional group of exchange students from Germany this fall! In 2009, the German International School of Boston (GISB) established the Guest Student Program as an intercultural exchange. It all started with a parent’s idea and – with the help of GISB families and friends of the school willing to open their homes to a student – it has quickly developed into a key project for the school, becoming a crucial component of the school's mission. In its 4th year now, the Guest Student Program will bring 12 high school exchange students to Boston on August 30, just in time for the beginning of the new school year, from several European countries. The students are 14 to 16 years old and will attend grades 9 to 11. We are confident that we have an exceptional and talented group, and that their visit will be rewarding for them and their host families. Some of the students will stay for a year, others just for the first semester. Placing them with local families is important to ensure a rich social and cultural experience, and takes priority over other form of accommodations. In this spirit, we would like to extend an invitation to families that may have the possibility and would consider hosting an exchange student this fall. You can commit to hosting for the first or second semester (5 months) or for the entire school year (10 months). As a host, you will receive a small financial contribution of $600 from our school to cover your costs. GISB will work closely together with you to ensure that you and your student will have a most rewarding experience. To receive more information about the program, including placement procedures, please contact the Guest Student Program Coordinator at the German International School, Filippo Nardin, at 617-395-9959 or filippo.nardin@gisbos.org.  6/11/2012

Dear Waldorf Community,
When you are considering any real estate transaction - purchase, sale or rental in the surrounding area, please give me a call. I have been the happy recipient of many referrals from the Waldorf community since 1986 when I first worked with a parent new to the school and since then have been a long time active supporter.
As a former teacher in the Newton public schools, I have come to admire the way Waldorf lovingly molds the child into a caring and thoughtful member of the greater community. The many references I’ve acquired over the years from Waldorf families and staff will show you my commitment to making any transaction worthwhile and pleasant. Each and every referral is appreciated and I look forward to continuing my relationship with the school and to hearing from you.
