Yarn and lap looms 300.jpg

The sun sets a little earlier each day, the first leaves are changing color and the air (most days) has a bit of a chill.

Our children are back in school and Homespun's shopkeepers are busy restocking the shelves.

All the basics are here:  crayons, colored pencils, paints, lesson books, modeling and decorating beeswax.  Weleda and Dr. Hauschka products, Bach Rescue Remedy drops, spray, cream (and pastilles!) are all available.

This year we are carrying worsted weight yarn (for socks) as well as bulky weight yarns (both from Brown Sheep) in a fantastic array of colors. Responding to many requests, we have several new lines of note cards for you to present with gifts or to write an old-fashioned note to a lucky someone. The Cicely Mary Barker fairy cards are magical. Silk scarves, capes, skirts, wings, swords (soft), and parachutes are all in stock.

Tree block sets and tree block houses are on their way, along with dolls, wooden trucks and other unusual, classic gifts and toys. Boxes of books arrive almost daily and beeswax candles of all shapes and sizes will be here soon to light the autumn evenings.

If you are a new parent at The Waldorf School, we hope you will come by and explore our tiny, amazing, parent-operated store. Homespun shopkeepers are happy to help you select a gift and/or place a Special Order. Remember that every purchase in Homespun supports The Waldorf School. We hope to see you soon, in Homespun, our school store.

Please Note:  Hot Lunch Tickets can be purchased in Homespun with cash, checks (made out to HOMESPUN), or credit cards (MasterCard or Visa). We're sorry, but Homespun shopkeepers can no longer accept IOU's for lunch tickets - you (or your child) will need to speak with Tricia Cooper in the kitchen.
