Last Minute Valentines:

Stop by the CafĂ© next Wednesday morning, February 13, after drop-off.  Nursery parent Emi Morse will show us how to make Heart Rings and Heart Bracelets, using Origami. Paper will be provided by Homespun.

All Valentine Supplies on SALE at 10% off (community members, this is in addition to regular 10% discount, for a 20% total discount) next week, beginning Monday, February 11. Some items will have even greater discounts. Please stop by & buy.  What you purchase now, at a discount, Homespun shopkeepers will not have to count in June during inventory.

Uriel Pharmacy homeopathic products continue to be very popular, especially for warming cold hands and for treating colds & flu. We will be carrying the newer (actually they've been around, but not available in the US) facial skin care products by Weleda. They are similar to the Iris line, but in Almond (for sensitive skin) and Rose (for aging skin).  We hope to get some travel sizes for you to try. Glass nail files will be back in stock next week.

New games and toys are arriving. There are games to play indoors, while the weather is chill and damp: check out the wooden checkers sets, cube puzzles & other old-time items. As the weather warms you will find archery & badminton sets, jump ropes and hoops to roll (which takes some skill). The new/old sling shots look great. They will be sold to adults only, to encourage parent/child conversations about the safe use and enjoyment of this classic toy.

There are many more fun and fabulous items on the shelves, including dozens of delightful and informative books, but for now, a request.

We would like to know if there actually are online readers of the Homespun News. If you are reading this online, please send a quick email to Homespun@thewaldorfschool.org.   Just put "Online Reader" in the subject line.

Thank you.

Have a pleasant and relaxing February break. Whether you travel or stay quietly at home, remember that Homespun is filled with projects, supplies, and fun ways to pass the time.
