Welcome!
When your child becomes a student at the Waldorf School of Lexington, your family becomes part of our vibrant community.  You might wish to participate in a morning crafting circle, join our Parent Community Association, or simply drink in the beauty and joy of the seasonal festivals celebrated in our curriculum.

Some of the many school community events that bring us together include:
  •  Back -to-school Warming: An evening of faculty song to welcome parents after the summer break and "warm" the school for the arrival of students.
  • East Lexington Fair:  A neighborhood fair co-sponsored by the Waldorf School of Lexington, Wilson Farm, and Follen Church.
  • Viennese Ball:  With a live string quartet, ball gowns, and Austrian delicacies, this community dance is sponsored by Grade 8 and the German Curriculum.
  • Holiday Fair:  Shopping, live music & entertainment, delicious food.  The community gathers to open our school to nearly 1,000 visitors every year.
  • International Potluck:  We celebrate our cultural diversity with a mid-winter potluck, hosted by our Parent Community Association.
  • Robert Mendenhall Memorial Concert:  This annual fundraiser benefits our music program.  The eclectic program features performances by professional musicians from our music faculty and parent community, as well as alumni.
  • Annual Auction & Dinner:  In March 2012, our Annual Auction will take us to Cambridge's Charles Hotel for an evening of dining, dancing, and laughter.
  • May Day:  The community gathers to banish the winter and welcome in the spring with traditional songs of the season, maypole dancing, and strawberry shortcake.
