We are:
  • An independent day school serving over 250 boys and girls in nursery through eighth grade.
  • Committed to providing a rich, rounded Grade 1 - 8 curriculum with a balance of academics, arts, music, movement, and social education.
  • Play-centered in our early childhood classes, allowing young children to develop at a natural pace, without premature academic pressure.
  • Located in historic Lexington, Massachusetts.  Our campus abuts 185 acres of conserved meadows, woods, and wetlands, affording ample space for outdoor play and programs ranging from biodynamic gardening and beekeeping to nature studies and soccer.
  • Part of the global movement of Waldorf Schools, the fastest growing pedagogy worldwide, numbering nearly 1,000 schools on six continents.
  • Striving for diversity by intentionally setting reasonable tuition and fees relative to other area private schools.  Over 30% of our students receive financial aid.

Our Mission
We strive to provide an educational environment that supports the physical, spiritual, social, and intellectual growth and development of our students.  Our work is based on the educational contributions of Rudolf Steiner and his insights into human development and social forms.  Our goal is to awaken and foster in our students:

A sense of wonder
Creative and inquiring minds
A well-founded belief in their capacities
Strength of character, will, and intellect
Compassion for and interest in all Life.
